LET’S GET COOKING!
PUBLICADO EL 30-07-2018 POR JAVI RECETASHi, how’s it going? My name’s Javi, I’m from Cádiz (Spain), and I’ve been working as a firefighter since 1999. It’s a great job, and I really enjoy doing it.
I’m married with two kids, and I’m sure you all know how hectic family life can be 🙂 But nevertheless, I always manage to make time for my blog, in which I bring together my three passions: computers, photography, and of course, cooking!
In 2008, I started publishing my recipes in Spanish on Javirecetas.com, and ever since then the blog has been growing and growing! It now has three million visitors every month, as well as a good number of followers on all the social media accounts.
I’m always trying to come up with new projects for my website, so I’ve decided to take things one step further and start publishing my recipes in English! Now, I will be able to share them with even more people.
I’m planning to publish all kinds of recipes on JaviRecipes.com: Italian cuisine, French cuisine, Mexican cuisine… and of course American and Spanish cuisine!
You know something? When I started out with my Spanish blog, I didn’t have any aspirations for it: I just wanted to share a few recipes, and that was it. But as time went by (as and my cooking skills improved), I started to set higher and higher standards for myself, and now my key concern is that the recipes always work, and that any of my followers who try them out are 100% happy with the results.
I want to put the very best of myself into my new project, and so I am going to make the motto of my Spanish blog – “the recipes always work!!!” – the motto of JaviRecipes.com too.
I can’t wait to prove that I’m up to this new challenge, and I’m counting on all of you to help me along the way. If you spot anything that doesn’t seem quite right, or which could be improved, please don’t hesitate to point it out to me. You know that even after ten years, I still reply to all comments on my Spanish blog, without exception ☺
By the way, I can write in English, but not fluently, and so I’ve asked my friend Laura to help me out with translating the recipes. She’ll make sure that everything is nicely written and easy to understand. But I’ll be the one answering the comments – and without a translator! – so I hope that you’ll bear with me if I make a lot of mistakes to start off with! ☹
I’m really excited about this new step, and I’m counting on all of you to come along with me on this helter-skelter journey!!!
Are you ready?… Let’s get cooking!
